International Bridget Aber (2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for UCU Lady Canons, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat YMCA Hamstars (#10, 3-14) 65-51. UCU Ladies is placed at 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. UCU Ladies would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 13-3 record. It's Aber's second year at UCU Ladies and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Bridget Aber averages this season 6.9ppg and 8.1rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was Kur Ajah of Magic Stormers Kampala. Ajah had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Magic Stormers lost that game 56-61 to the higher-ranked KCCA Leopards (#2, 13-3). Magic Stormers managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 8-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ajah is a newcomer at Magic Stormers, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Rose Musundi of YMCA Lady Hamstars (#10). Musundi scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Musundi's great performance the YMCA Hamstars lost 51-65 to the higher-ranked UCU Ladies (#3, 13-3). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Musundi has individually a great season in Uganda. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.2ppg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
