Ageno's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

27-year old forward Sarah Ageno (176-F-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for JT Lady Jaguars and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
She had a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds, while her team beat Miracle (#6, 9-8) 66-57. JTL Jaguars maintains the 5th position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. JTL Jaguars will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. In the team's last game Ageno had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Ageno has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 11.8rpg), assists (6th best: 3.5apg) and averages solid 2.3spg.

Second best performed player last round was Brenda Ekone (152-G-1996) of top-ranked Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins. She is international guard in her 3rd season at JKL Dolphins. In the last game Ekone recorded an impressive 28 points and 3 rebounds. Of course she led JKL Dolphins to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked YMCA Hamstars (#10, 3-13) 95-47. Of course JKL Dolphins still keep the league's top spot. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 15-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Ekone is one of the most experienced players at JKL Dolphins and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.2ppg (#1).

Third place about best performers goes to guard Sarah Namale (G-2005) of Nabisunsa Girls (#11). Namale scored 19 points and grabbed 22 rebounds (!!!). Despite Namale's great performance the Nabisunsa lost 48-50 to the higher-ranked A1 Challenge (#8, 5-10). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Nabisunsa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-13 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Namale has individually a great season in Uganda. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.5rpg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
