Peter Sifuma gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL

Peter Sifuma (C-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for UCU Canons Kampala and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 27-year old center had a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Livingstone (#8, 4-7) with 16-point margin 68-52. UCU Canons maintains the 5th position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. UCU Canons will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. Sifuma has many years of experience at UCU Canons, through which he has constantly improved. Sifuma has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 12.7ppg), rebounds (6th best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 50.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Mpiya Juf of KIU Titans Kampala. Juf impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led KIU Titans to another comfortable win 80-63 over the lower-ranked Power (#9, 4-7) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed KIU Titans to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 8-3 record is not bad at all. Juf is one of the most experienced players at KIU Titans and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was George Agasi of JT Jaguars BC (#7). Agasi scored 15 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Jaguars, leading his team to a 62-59 win against the lower-ranked JKL Dolphins (#11, 2-9). Agasi has a very solid season. In 11 games in Uganda he scored 8.2ppg.

8. Joel Kayira (208-C-2001) of UCU Canons - 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Ian Lubwama) of Jaguars - 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Joel Lukoji) of KIU Titans - 15 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
