Stella Kiberenge put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for A1 Challenge Kampala and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
She had a double-double of 31 points and 22 rebounds, while her team crushed YMCA Hamstars (#10, 2-10) with 25-point margin 82-57. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. A1 Challenge maintains the 9th position in Ugandan NBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 8 games and recorded just three victories. Kiberenge just recently signed at A1 Challenge, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Kiberenge has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.9ppg) and rebounds (4th best: 12.2rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Hope Akello (183-F/C-1997) of top-ranked Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins. She is international forward in her 7th season at JKL Dolphins. In the last game Akello recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 23 rebounds. Bad luck as JKL Dolphins lost that game 50-55 to the lower-ranked KIU Rangers (#4, 9-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. JKL Dolphins still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 9-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Akello is one of the most experienced players at JKL Dolphins and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.3ppg (#9). Her other stats are also decent: 14.8rpg and 4.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another JKL Dolphins' star - guard Brenda Ekone (152-G-1996). Ekone scored 22 points. She was another key player of Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins, helping her team with a 94-49 easy win against the lower-ranked YMCA Hamstars (#10, 2-10). Many experts and fans count JKL Dolphins as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 9 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Ekone has a great season in Uganda. After only 9 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.8ppg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Becky Longom (F) of JKL Dolphins - 17 points and 10 rebounds
5. Patience Nakalembe (G-1995) of A1 Challenge - 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
