30-year old forward Samad Imran (F-1993) had a great game in the last round for Betway Power BC and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Ndejje Angels (#11, 2-7) 81-71. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Power moved-up to the 9th position in Ugandan league. Power is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team's last game Imran had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Power and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Imran has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 15.8ppg) and rebounds (4th best: 12.6rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Chuma Fadhili of JT Jaguars BC. He is a in his first season at Jaguars. In the last game Fadhili recorded an impressive double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Jaguars to edge the lower-ranked Kampala R. (#12, 1-10) by 6 points 61-55. Jaguars' 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Fadhili is one of the most experienced players at Jaguars and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Cikom Monybai (C/F) of Ndejje University Angels (#11). Monybai scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). Despite Monybai's great performance the Ndejje Angels lost 71-81 to slightly higher-ranked Power (#9, 4-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Ndejje Angels can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Monybai has a very solid season. In 9 games in Uganda he scored 10.1ppg. He also has 8.9rpg and 1.6bpg.

4. Benon Wobusobozi) of Ndejje Angels - 16 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
