Bottom-ranked Kampala Uni is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to seventh ranked Magic Stormers (5-6) 117-44 on Friday evening. Magic Stormers dominated down low during the game scoring 92 of its points in the paint compared to Kampala Uni's 36. Magic Stormers forced 50 Kampala Uni turnovers and outrebounded them 56-30 including a 27-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Magic Stormers looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Kampala Uni's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Kur Ajah who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Guard Christine Nakito contributed with 10 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 12 steals for the winners. Victoria Nalwanga replied with 16 points and 6 steals for Kampala Uni. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Magic Stormers maintains seventh position with 5-6 record. Kampala Uni at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Magic Stormers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Nabisunsa.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Magic Stormers (#7) and Nabisunsa (#11). Nabisunsa was smashed at home by 27 points 52-79 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Kur Ajah scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Daphine Adong chipped in 17 points, 5 assists and 8 steals during the contest. At the losing side Mpoza Abigail responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Magic Stormers maintains seventh position with 5-6 record. Nabisunsa lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with eight games lost. Magic Stormers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena .
