Ekone's 36-point game gives her Player of the Week award

27-year old guard Brenda Ekone (152-G-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had the game-high 36 points adding six rebounds and three assists for JKL Dolphins in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Kampala Uni (#12, 0-7) with 73-point margin 108-35. JKL Dolphins maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but JKL Dolphins already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Ekone had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at JKL Dolphins, through which she has constantly improved. Ekone has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.4ppg. Ekone is in league's top in and averages solid 51.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Hope Akello (183-F/C-1997). She is international forward in her 7th season at JKL Dolphins. In the last game Akello recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins cruised to a 75-68 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked UCU Ladies (#4, 6-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. JKL Dolphins consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Akello is one of the most experienced players at JKL Dolphins and similarly like Brenda Ekone has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another JKL Dolphins' star - forward Becky Longom (F). Longom scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins, helping her team with a 108-35 easy win against Kampala Uni (#12, 0-7). JKL Dolphins started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Longom turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Longom has a great season in Uganda. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.4rpg (5th best).
