Ninette Uwineza's triple-double lands her Player of the Week award

Guard Ninette Uwineza (G) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked KCCA Leopards, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The player recorded a triple-double of 14 points adding also 13 rebounds and 12 assists, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Kampala Uni (#12, 0-5) with 79-point margin 99-20. It allowed KCCA Leopards to consolidate first place in the Ugandan NBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but KCCA Leopards already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Uwineza had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at KCCA Leopards, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ninette Uwineza has solid league stats. She is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 4.5apg) and averages impressive 2.7spg.

The second best player in last round's games was another KCCA Leopards' star - Margaret Bagaala. Bagaala had a very good evening with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Uwineza she helped KCCA Leopards with another comfortable win outscoring Kampala Uni (#12, 0-5) 99-20. Of course KCCA Leopards still keep the league's top spot. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Bagaala is one of the most experienced players at KCCA Leopards and similarly like Ninette Uwineza has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#2). She also registered 5.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Sharon Kirabo (170-F-1996) of league's second-best KIU Rangers. Kirabo showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of KIU Rangers, leading her team to a 81-53 easy win against the lower-ranked Lady Tomahawks (#7, 3-4). KIU Rangers is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Kirabo has a great season in Uganda. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (9th best).
