Puati Kikomba had a very impressive game in the last round for Kampala Rockets and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 16 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat JKL Dolphins (#11, 1-4) 74-66. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Kampala R. moved-up to the 12th position in Ugandan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just one victory. Kikomba just recently signed at Kampala R., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Kikomba has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 13.2rpg) and averages solid 2.8bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Christian Ndibu of Ndejje University Angels. He is a in his first season at Ndejje Angels. In the last game Ndibu recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Ndejje Angels lost that game 75-83 to league's leader City Oilers (#1, 5-0). Ndejje Angels managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Ndibu is one of the most experienced players at Ndejje Angels and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.8ppg (#2). He also registered 14.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Arthur Wanyoto of JKL Dolphins Kampala (#11). Wanyoto scored 20 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). Despite Wanyoto's great performance the JKL Dolphins lost 66-74 to slightly lower-ranked Kampala R. (#12, 1-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. JKL Dolphins can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Wanyoto has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.0ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 10.0rpg (8th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
