Moreen's 32-point game gives her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

33-year old guard Amoding Moreen (G-1990) had an amazing evening in the last round for KCCA Leopards and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
She had the game-high 32 points for KCCA Leopards in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team A1 Challenge (#10, 0-2) with 42-point margin 75-33. KCCA Leopards maintains the 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and KCCA Leopards won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Moreen had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at KCCA Leopards and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Moreen has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.5ppg) and averages solid 3.5spg and 61.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mary Amaniyo (180-PF-2003) of KIU Rangers. She is a forward in her first season at KIU Rangers. In the last game Amaniyo recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 20 rebounds. It was enough for KIU Rangers to edge JTL Jaguars (1-1) by 4 points 61-57. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Amaniyo is a newcomer at KIU Rangers and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#1). She also registered 20.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another KIU Rangers' star - forward Sharon Kirabo (170-F-1996). Kirabo scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was another key player of KIU Rangers, helping her team with a 61-57 win against JTL Jaguars (#6, 1-1). KIU Rangers has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Kirabo also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Kirabo as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be another team's leader.
