Titus Lual
Sudanese Titus Lual (C) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader City Oilers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The center had a double-double of 13 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team beat Kampala R. (#10, 3-9) 58-45. It allowed City Oilers to consolidate first place in the Ugandan NBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and City Oilers still have not lost a single game, getting all 13 victories. Lual just recently signed at City Oilers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lual has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 14.9ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.5rpg) and averages solid 1.6bpg and 56.6% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Malual Dier of Our Saviour. Dier impressed basketball fans with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Our Saviour was edged by slightly higher-ranked UCU Canons (#4, 9-4) 67-66. Our Saviour managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Dier is one of the most experienced players at Our Saviour and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Peter Sifuma (C-1996) of UCU Canons (#4). Sifuma showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of UCU Canons, leading his team to a 67-66 win against slightly lower-ranked Our Saviour (#5, 7-6). UCU Canons needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 4 lost games. Sifuma has a great season in Uganda. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.5rpg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
