Micheal Makiadi
Experienced Rwandan Micheal Makiadi (C-1989) had a great game in the last round for Blazers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 33-year old center had a double-double of 16 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team crushed Ndejje Angels (#11, 3-7) with 21-point margin 76-55. Blazers is placed at 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Blazers will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Makiadi just recently signed at Blazers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Makiadi has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.5rpg).
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Michael Kojjo of UPDF. Kojjo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led UPDF to another comfortable win 68-54 over slightly lower-ranked JKL Dolphins (#10, 3-7) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed UPDF to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-7 record. Kojjo is a newcomer at UPDF and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
The third best performed player last round was Kok Gol of Ndejje Angels (#11). Gol scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Gol's great performance Ndejje Angels lost 55-76 to the higher-ranked Blazers (#3, 7-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Ndejje Angels not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gol could try to bring Ndejje Angels' a little bit higher in the standings. Gol has a very solid season. In 6 games in Uganda he scored 5.0ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
