Peter Cheng put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Blazers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The player had a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed UPDF (#8, 4-7) with 16-point margin 67-51. Blazers is placed at 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Blazers will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game Cheng had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Blazers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Peter Cheng has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.3ppg. Cheng is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 10.7rpg) and averages impressive 2.1spg and 56.3% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young Isaac Afidra (F/C-1985) of Power. Afidra had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Power to edge slightly lower-ranked KCCA P. (#7, 4-7) 84-80. This victory allowed Power to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Afidra is one of the most experienced players at Power and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third on the list of top players last round was Kenyan forward Martin Ouma (195-F-1999) of KCCA P. (#7). Ouma scored 26 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Ouma's great performance KCCA P. lost 80-84 to slightly higher-ranked Power (#6, 4-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of KCCA P. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ouma could try to bring KCCA P.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Ouma has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.3ppg (5th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
