Okumu Emmanuel
Forward Okumu Emmanuel (F-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Kampala R., receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Rezlife S. (#12, 2-7) 71-57. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Kampala R. maintains the 11th position in Ugandan NBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 6 games and recorded just two victories. Emmanuel just recently signed at Kampala R., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Okumu Emmanuel averages this season 10.3ppg and 6.1rpg.
The second best player in last round's games was young Peter Sifuma (C-1996) of UCU Canons. Sifuma had a very good evening with a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led UCU Canons to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Rezlife S. (#12, 2-7) 87-35. UCU Canons' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Sifuma is one of the most experienced players at UCU Canons and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third on the list of top players last round was forward Samad Imran (F-1993) of Power (#9). Imran scored 12 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Power, leading his team to a 74-52 easy win against slightly higher-ranked JKL Dolphins (#7, 3-5). The chances of Power not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Imran could try to bring Power's a little bit higher in the standings. Imran has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (8th best).
Other top performing players last week:
4. Kenneth Mesho) of Our Saviour - 13 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Peter Cheng) of Blazers - 15 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Stephen Otoa) of Power - 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists

10. Trezor Tambwe) of Rezlife S. - 17 points and 6 rebounds
The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
