David Okello (G/F-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for UPDF and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 24-year old swingman had a double-double of 28 points and eleven rebounds, while his team beat Blazers (5-4) 73-67. UPDF is placed at 4th position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. UPDF will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. In the team's last game Okello had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at UPDF, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Okello has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 14.3ppg) and averages solid 2.4spg,52.5% FGP and 43.6% from behind 3-point line.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Drileba Tonny of City Oilers. Tonny impressed basketball fans with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led City Oilers to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tropical R. (#9, 4-6) 95-55. City Oilers' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 7-2 record is not bad at all. Tonny is one of the most experienced players at City Oilers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Wafula Bossa of Falcons (#13). Bossa scored 16 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Bossa's great performance Falcons lost 57-72 to the higher-ranked KCCA P. (#7, 4-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Falcons can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 8 games. Bossa has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.4ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 13.2rpg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
