Malual Dier put on an amazing game in the last round for JKL Dolphins and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Victoria USY (#12, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 64-54. Thanks to this victory JKL Dolphins moved-up to the 7th position in Ugandan league. JKL Dolphins is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. Dier has many years of experience at JKL Dolphins, through which he has constantly improved. Dier has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 14.5rpg. Dier is in league's top in and averages solid 3.0bpg.
Second best performed player last round was Wafula Bossa of Falcons. He is a in his first season at Falcons. In the last game Bossa recorded impressive double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Falcons was edged by Ndejje Angels (2-0) 65-62. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Bossa is one of the most experienced players at Falcons and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#2). He also registered 9.0 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Tony Drileba (193-SG-1993) of City Oilers (#8). Drileba showcased his all-around game by recording 10 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and eight assists in the last round. He was a key player of City Oilers, leading his team to a 80-46 easy win against KCCA P. (#9, 1-2). City Oilers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. The season just started for Drileba as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
