Myburgh number one in South Africa BNL for round 5 (by Hoops Agents)

Guard Benjamin Myburgh (185-G-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Soweto Panthers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 28-year old player got a double-double of 22 points and 10 assists, while his team outclassed Eagles (#3, 1-2) with 32-point margin 82-50. Panthers maintains the 2nd position in their group in the South African BNL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Panthers won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Myburgh had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Panthers, through which he has constantly improved. Benjamin Myburgh has solid league stats. He is league's best passer with 9.0apg. Myburgh is in league's top in and averages impressive 6.5spg and 52.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Panthers' star - young Gabonese Kevin Romenoh (193-SF-1986). Romenoh had a very good evening with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Of course together with Myburgh he helped Soweto Panthers with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Eagles (#3, 1-2) 82-50. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Panthers consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Romenoh is one of the most experienced players at Panthers and similarly like Benjamin Myburgh has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Panthers' star - center Liam Reid-Laynes (206-C-1998). Reid-Laynes scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Soweto Panthers, helping his team with a 82-50 easy win against #3 ranked Eagles. Panthers has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Reid-Laynes also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Reid-Laynes has a very solid season. In 2 games in South Africa he scored 14.0ppg.

9. Jeremie Luvaika) of Eagles - 6 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Job Mashwabathi (195-PF) of Warriors - 5 points and 11 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
