Kevin Romenoh gets MVP of the Week award for South African BNL (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Gabonese Kevin Romenoh (193-SF-1986) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Soweto Panthers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 38-year old had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Rhinos (#5, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 79-68. Panthers is placed at 2nd position in South African BNL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Panthers won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Romenoh just recently signed at Panthers and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Romenoh has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.0ppg), rebounds (9th best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 3.0spg and 71.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Yanick Kasilembo of league's best team Egoli Magic. Kasilembo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Magic cruised to a 67-55 relatively comfortable win over Rhinos (0-2). His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Kasilembo is one of the most experienced players at Magic and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.0ppg (#8). He also registered 11.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Thabo Sithole of Mpumalanga Rhinos (#5). Sithole showcased his all-around game by recording 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. Despite Sithole's great performance the Rhinos lost 68-79 to Panthers (#2, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Rhinos can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Sithole has individually a great season in South Africa. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 8.0apg (2nd best).

8. Thabo Gumede (180-PG) of Rhinos - 13 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Omphile Noko (175-PG) of Magic - 12 points and 4 rebounds
10. Kwazi Gumede (191-G/F-1997) of Magic - 16 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
