Zambia U18 claimed the first win in Group C beating South Africa U18 70-61. Zambia ran to a 23-12 lead ten minutes into the game. South Africa narrowed the gap at 3-point mark at the interval. But Zambia limited their opponents to just 26 points in the second half and raced to the win. Kelvin Mulenga (2006) and Frank Siame (2007) posted 15 points each for Zambia. Chadley Hargreaves (2006) tossed in 12 points for South Africa.
