Emmanuel Shine
28-year old power forward Emmanuel Shine (199-F/C-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team T.Suns and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 17 rebounds, while his team outclassed M.Rhinos (#2, 3-1) with 34-point margin 87-53. It allowed T.Suns to consolidate first place in the South African league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but T.Suns already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Shine has many years of experience at T.Suns, through which he has constantly improved. Shine has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 19.5ppg), rebounds (5th best: 7.0rpg) and averages solid 3.5spg and 75.0% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Thomas Rutsito (202-F/C-1997) of NC Zebras. He is Zimbabwean forward in his 2nd season at NC Zebras. In the last game Rutsito recorded impressive double-double of 15 points and 19 rebounds. Of course he led NC Zebras to another comfortable win outscoring FS Warriors (#5, 0-3) 75-46. NC Zebras' 4th position in Group B has not changed. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory NC Zebras managed to get this year. Rutsito is well-known at NC Zebras and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.
Third place about best performers goes to Bantaleka Josias of league's leader Tshwane S.. Josias showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Tshwane S., leading his team to a 87-53 easy win against #2 ranked M.Rhinos in a game of the week. Tshwane S. started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game in Group B. Josias turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Josias has a great season in South Africa. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.7ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 9.7rpg (9th best).
