DR Congolese Emmanuel Shine (199-F/C-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader T.Suns and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 28-year old power forward had a double-double of 28 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team FS Warriors (#5, 0-4) with 30-point margin 97-67. It allowed T.Suns to consolidate first place in the South African BNL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but T.Suns already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Shine has many years of experience at T.Suns, through which he has constantly improved. Shine has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.5ppg. Shine is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 7.0rpg) and averages solid 3.5spg and 75.0% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young power forward Julian Wright (196-F/C-1990) of EC Windbreakers. Wright impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 18 rebounds. Of course he led EC Windbreakers to another comfortable win 68-50 over NW Eagles (#6, 0-5) being unquestionably team leader. EC Windbreakers' 5th position in Group A has not changed. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory EC Windbreakers managed to get this year. Wright is one of the most experienced players at EC Windbreakers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Portuguese Miguel Ferrao (205-F-1996) of top-ranked WC Mountaineers. Ferrao scored 27 points. He was a key player of WC Mountaineers, leading his team to a 64-51 easy win against the lower-ranked EC Windbreakers (#5, 1-4). WC Mountaineers started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game in Group A. Ferrao turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Ferrao has a great season in South Africa. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.8ppg (3rd best). Miguel Ferrao has also South African passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
