Tigers sign Raphiael Putney

Raphiael Putney

Cape Town Tigers (D2) signed 32-year old American forward Raphiael Putney (207cm-91kg-1990, college: UMass). Putney played last season at Heartfire (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S.
Putney is quite experienced player. He has played in eleven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Putney has played previously professionally in Australia, Colombia (Team Cali), France (Chalon/Saor), Hungary (Atomeromu), Israel (Next Urban Maccabi Haifa), Italy (BLE Juvecaserta Accademy and Scafati), Puerto Rico (Atleticos), Venezuela (Guaiqueries), NBA (Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Iowa Wolves and College Park SkyHawks) and Dominican Republic (San Lazaro and Reales). He played in the final of Balkan League in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League Honorable Mention in 2022.
Putney graduated from University of Massachusetts in 2014 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
