Emmanuel Shine
DR Congolese Emmanuel Shine (199-F/C-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader T.Suns and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 21 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Egoli Magic (#3, 2-1) 45-40. It allowed T.Suns to jump to the first place in the South African BNL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but T.Suns already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Shine has many years of experience at T.Suns, through which he has constantly improved. Emmanuel Shine averages just after two games 19.5ppg and 7.0rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old former international center Stephen Gabriel (205-C-91) of WC Mountaineers. Gabriel impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led WC Mountaineers to another comfortable win outscoring FS Warriors (#5, 0-2) 76-48. WC Mountaineers' 3rd position in Group B has not changed. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Gabriel is a newcomer at WC Mountaineers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#3). He also registered 11.3 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was Job Mashwabathi (195-PF) of FS Warriors (#5). Mashwabathi scored 20 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Mashwabathi's great performance FS Warriors lost 48-76 to slightly higher-ranked WC Mountaineers (#3, 2-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. FS Warriors can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B. Mashwabathi has individually a great season in South Africa. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 8.0ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 10.5rpg (5th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
