31-year old shooting guard Christian Kabasele (SG-90) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked S.Panthers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had the game-high 20 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for S.Panthers in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team NW Eagles (#5, 0-2) with 18-point margin 81-63. S.Panthers is placed at 2nd position in South African league. S.Panthers is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. Kabasele has many years of experience at S.Panthers, through which he has constantly improved. Kabasele has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 17.0ppg. Kabasele
Second best performed player last round was Kabelo Kubayi (F). He is a forward in his 3rd season at S.Panthers. In the last game Kubayi recorded impressive double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Of course together with Kabasele he helped S.Panthers with another comfortable win 81-63 over NW Eagles (#5, 0-2) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed S.Panthers to move up to second position in Group B. His team's 1-1 record is not bad at all. Kubayi is one of the most experienced players at S.Panthers and similarly like Christian Kabasele has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to center Stephen Gabriel (205-C-91) of WC Mountaineers (#3). Gabriel scored 12 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Gabriel's great performance WC Mountaineers lost 56-61 to #1 ranked KZ Marlins. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing WC Mountaineers needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Group B. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Gabriel has a great season in South Africa. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (4th best).
Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
