REG forced 23 APR turnovers and outrebounded them 52-40 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mali center Kankou Coulibaly (187-1990) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Chantal Ramu (170-2000) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated REG have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-0 record. APR at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Mali center Kankou Coulibaly (187-1990) notched a double-double by scoring 32 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Ange Irakoze supported her with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds by DR Congolese forward Feza Ebengo (185-1999) did not help to save the game for The Hoops. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated REG have an impressive six-game winning streak. The best player for the winners was Nelly Nsanzabaganwa who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Ange Uwiringiyimana who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kepler (4-1) moved-up to second place. Loser Azomco keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Kepler's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kigali to the arena REG.
In the last two games of round 6 APR destroyed RP-IPRC Huye on the opponent's court 95-59. Winless Gahini was outscored by Kepler in a home game 49-78.
