The most exciting game of round 10 in the RBL took place in Kigali. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of much higher ranked REG (8-2) to fourth ranked Tigers (6-5) 76-74 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of REG. They outrebounded REG 44-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by REG helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. DR Congolese center Pitchou Kambuyi (208-1988) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman David Nickelberry (201-1998, college: Buffalo) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Senegalese point guard Jean-Jacques Boissy (183-2000) responded with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tigers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 6-5 record. REG at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kigali: APR (#1) and Orion (#6). Orion was smashed at home by 19 points 77-96 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Mali forward Aliou Diarra (200-2001) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks to lead the effort and Ntore Habimana supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 25 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists by American point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-1991, college: Jackson St.) did not help to save the game for Orion. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated APR (13-0) have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 13 victories in a row. Orion at the other side dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Azomco. Aliou Diarra fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. APR's coach James Maye felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Damaria Franklin produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Undefeated APR have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-0 record. Newly promoted Azomco keeps the eighth place with eight games lost.
In the last two games of round 10 Tigers destroyed Espoir on the opponent's court 103-84. UGB unfortunately lost to Patriots in a home game 73-88.
