Regular Season Round 9: APR - Azomco 103-49

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Kigali:APR (#1) and Azomco (#8). APR (13-0) smashed visiting Azomco (2-8) by 54 points 103-49 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Azomco. APR held Azomco to an opponent 23.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.2 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Azomco 66-48 including a 50-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mali forward Aliou Diarra (200-2001) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Jordan McRae (197-1991, college: Tennessee) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. APR's coach James Maye felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Damaria Franklin (190-1999, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and Richard Bizimungu added 13 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. APR have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-0 record. Newly promoted Azomco keeps the eighth place with eight games lost.
