Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Kepler (8-0) in Kigali on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked REG (3-1) 71-58. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Kepler. REG held Kepler to an opponent 24.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Mali Kadidia Maiga (185-1997) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 23 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and the former international point guard Odile Tetero (162-1998) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Josiane Tcheumeleu responded with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Kepler's coach Rene Sahabu rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. REG have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 3-1 record. Newly promoted Kepler still keeps top position with 0 game lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Kigali. Fifth ranked EA Univ (3-3) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging their close opponent Gahini (1-3) 67-64 in the game for the fifth place. Guard Ange Uwiringiyimana nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and Princess Louaka accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds. Center Josephine Uwineza came up with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 15 assists and 6 steals for Gahini in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. EA Univ maintains fifth place with 3-3 record. Gahini at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with The Hoops.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali: Kepler (#1) and Azomco (#7). Kepler (8-0) crushed visiting Azomco (1-4) by 24 points 72-48. The best player for the winners was Henriette Uwimpuhwe who scored 21 points and 5 assists. Nivin Lokuku produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Kepler have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Newly promoted Kepler maintains first place with 8-0 record. Azomco lost third consecutive game. Azomco at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with GSMRR.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 5: winless UR BBC lost to undefeated RP-IPRC Huye on the opponent's court 43-61. APR outscored GSMRR in a home game 83-51. Winless UR Kigali lost to undefeated RP-IPRC Huye on the road 50-94. The Hoops were defeated by EA Univ on its own court 62-71.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 21 points and 9 assists by Yvonne Muhawenimana of EA Univ.

APR forced 27 GSMRR turnovers and outrebounded them 51-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. APR looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 19 rebounds. Mali guard Kamba Diakite (172-1999) chipped in 25 points and 6 assists. Four APR players scored in double figures. Guard Marie Yamfashije (-2002) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and Rachel Gikundiro (169-2006) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests.
