It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Kepler. REG held Kepler to an opponent 24.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.6 percent accuracy of the winners. EA Univ maintains fifth place with 3-3 record. Gahini at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with The Hoops.

The best player for the winners was Henriette Uwimpuhwe who scored 21 points and 5 assists. Nivin Lokuku produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Kepler have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Newly promoted Kepler maintains first place with 8-0 record. Azomco lost third consecutive game. Azomco at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with GSMRR.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 5: winless UR BBC lost to undefeated RP-IPRC Huye on the opponent's court 43-61. APR outscored GSMRR in a home game 83-51. Winless UR Kigali lost to undefeated RP-IPRC Huye on the road 50-94. The Hoops were defeated by EA Univ on its own court 62-71.
