Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:Kepler (#1) and Azomco (#7). Kepler (8-0) crushed visiting Azomco (1-4) by 24 points 72-48 . Kepler held Azomco to an opponent 22.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.5 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Azomco 64-32 including a 46-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kepler looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Henriette Uwimpuhwe (-2000) who scored 21 points and 5 assists. Guard Josiane Tcheumeleu chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. South Sudanese Nivin Lokuku (-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and Michelle Ashimwe (-2001) added 12 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kepler have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Newly promoted Kepler maintains first place with 8-0 record. Azomco lost third consecutive game. Azomco at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with GSMRR.
