The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of APR (16-1) in Kigali on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by REG (17-1) 73-58. It was a key game for the top position in the league. REG forced 19 APR turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international guard Destiney Philoxy (170-2000, college: UMass) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists. The former international point guard Rosine Micomyiza (-1995) helped adding 30 points and 4 steals. REG's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rebecca Cyuzuzo accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds. Gisele Makenga came up with 15 points and 6 assists for EA Univ in the defeat. There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 19: EA Univ was destroyed by RP-IPRC Huye on the opponent's court 79-44. GSMRR outscored UR Kigali in a home game 66-34. Kepler rolled over GSMRR on the road 87-61. Gahini was defeated by RP-IPRC Huye on its own court 58-64.
