We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Cyabingo where 3rd placedGSMRR (13-5) was rolled over by fourth ranked Kepler (11-6) 87-61 on Sunday. Kepler dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to GSMRR 's 24. They outrebounded GSMRR 68-46 including a 41-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kepler looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by GSMRR 's players. Gbenakpon Keita fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Nelly Nsanzabaganwa (-1995) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Four Kepler players scored in double figures. Forward Brigitte Nibishaka (-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and Yvonne Muhawenimana (-2002) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Kepler maintains fourth place with 11-6 record. Loser GSMRR keeps the third position with five games lost.
