Churchill Abass will continue his college career at Golden Knights

The University of Central Florida has selected 21-year-old Nigerian 6-10 power forward Churchill Abass for the upcoming season. He will be joining fellow Nigerian player Jason Asemota on the team. Abass hails from Edo State, Nigeria, and is transferring from the University of New Orleans after playing there for one year. In his last season, he averaged 8.4ppg, 5.7rpg, and 1.7bpg in 30 games. Abass was named to the Southland Conference All-Defensive Team in 2026.
He played also at U.S. Monastir between 2022-23, NBA Academy Africa in Thiel in 2023, De Paul University during 2023-24, and then at Wake Forest University for one season. His team won the Tunisian Cup, Tunisian League Regular Season Championship, and Tunisian League Championship in 2023.
