Ogwumike comes back to LA Sparks- April 11, 2026
In 2012 Los Angeles Sparks selected her as first overall pick in WNBA draft. The former Stanford University star is in her 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball. She was also a member of the USA international program for some years. Ogwumike played for USA Senior National Team between 2014 and 2020 and previously for the University National Team in 2011. She is a very experienced player. Thanks to Ogwumike's pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in four different countries. Ogwumike has played professionally in China (Vermilion Birds), Poland (Polkowice), Russia (Dynamo Kursk and Sparta&K Vidnoe Moscow Region) and other WNBA team (LA Sparks). Among many awards she won Chinese WCBA championship title in 2019. She was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Europe Power Forward of the Year for four consecutive years between 2014 and 2017. It may be one of last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at LA Sparks. Ogwumike played also for High School for 2 years.
