Derek Ogbeide joins H.Haifa

Derek Ogbeide

Hapoel Haifa (National League) added 29-year-old American power forward Derek Ogbeide (205cm-111kg-1997, college: Georgia, agency: SLN) to their roster. He recently played at Grand Rapids Gold (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 22 games, he averaged 4.2ppg and 3.6rpg this season. Ogbeide also played for Clippers in the NBA G League.
Ogbeide is a highly experienced player, having played professionally in Cyprus (AEK Larnaca), Greece (PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki), Italy (Pistoia, Rimini, and Trapani), Slovenia (Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana), Turkey (Konyaspor), and Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem and Hapoel Eilat).
Among many awards, his team won the Slovenian Supercup in 2025. Ogbeide was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A2 Honorable Mention back in 2023.
He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019 and is currently in his seventh season as a professional player.
