Grupo Ureta Tizona Burgos (Primera FEB) signed 28-year old Nigerian-Canadian international guard Mike Nuga (188cm-82kg-1997, college: UNLV). He just played at Zonkeys de Tijuana in Mexican CIBACOPA. In four games just recently he had 11.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.3apg this season. This season he played at JCA Abidjan (National 1) in Ivorian league. He has been regularly called to the Nigerian Senior National Team since 2023.
Nuga is a highly experienced player, having played in five different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Africa, and North America). He has played professionally in Canada (London Lightning, Bandits, Stingers, and Mamba), Kosovo (Vellaznimi), Latvia (Valmiera Glass), and Spain (Caceres). In 2026, his team won the Ivory Coast Supercup.
Among many awards, he was voted USBasket.com All-NBL Canada Domestic Player of the Year in 2023.
Nuga played for other colleges like Kent State University, Portland State University, and Eastern Florida State College before graduating from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas in 2022. It is his fourth season as a professional player.
