Levice lands Omotayo Ogundiran

Omotayo Ogundiran

Defending champion Patrioti Levice (Tipos SBL) tabbed 29-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) 180cm point guard Omotayo Ogundiran (college: CPP, agency: Alti Sport). He played recently at Maroussi in Greek GBL league. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries this year (!!!). But in three GBL games he averaged just 1.3ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.3apg. Ogundiran also played for Bakken Bears Aarhus (BasketLigaen) in Danish league. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. He also played 7 games in Danish BasketLigaen where he recorded 11.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 5.1apg and 1.6spg. And finally he contributed to 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he got impressive 16.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 5.5apg and 1.7spg. Ogundiran has been regularly called to the Nigerian Senior National Team since 2020.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in seven different countries playing on three different continents. Ogundiran is familiar with European, African and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in Denmark, France (Marseille), Czech Republic (Decin), Tunisia (US Monastir), Albania (Kamza) and North Macedonia (Akademija FMP Skopje).
Among many awards his team made it to the Czech Republic League Semifinals in 2025. Ogundiran was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Czech Republic League Guard of the Year in 2025.
He graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2019 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
