Omotayo Ogundiran (ex Bakken Bears) joins Maroussi

Omotayo Ogundiran

Maroussi B.C. (GBL) agreed terms with 29-year old American (who also has a Nigerian passport) point guard Omotayo Ogundiran (180cm-77kg-1996, college: CPP, agency: Alti Sport). He already started the season at Bakken Bears in Danish BasketLigaen. He managed to play in three leagues this year. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 7 BasketLigaen games he had 11.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 5.1apg, and 1.6spg. Ogundiran also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded very impressive stats: 16.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 5.5apg, and 1.7spg. And finally, he recorded 3 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 13.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 4.0apg, and 1.7spg. He has been regularly called to the Nigerian Senior National Team since 2020.
Ogundiran, a highly experienced player, has had the opportunity to travel to three different continents during his career, playing in six different countries. He has experienced the life of a professional basketball player in Europe, Africa, and North America. Ogundiran has played professionally in France (Marseille), Czech Republic (Decin), Tunisia (US Monastir), Albania (Kamza), and North Macedonia (Akademija FMP Skopje). In 2025, his team reached the Czech Republic League Semifinals, and he was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Czech Republic League All-Defensive Team.
Ogundiran graduated from Cal State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2019 and it's his 7th season as a pro player.
