First Bank Basketball Club claimed a 66–55 victory over CSA in the Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA) FIBA Africa Zone 3 qualifiers after staging a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback. CSA started strongly with a 16–9 lead in the first quarter and maintained a slim advantage through the second and third periods, entering the final frame ahead. However, FIB mounted a dominant fourth-quarter surge, scoring an impressive 30 points compared to CSA’s 12, completely overturning the game’s momentum. Despite CSA’s consistent early performance, FIB’s explosive finish secured them a decisive and well-earned victory.
Wandoo Hembam (165-SG-2006) stepped up with 24 points and Momoluwa Tewogbade (188-F-2007) notched 13. Hanna Amani (166-PG-1996) replied with 11 points in a loss.
