Amy Okonkwo

Dallas Wings have agreed terms with 29-year-old Nigerian-American international power forward Amy Okonkwo (6'2''-1996, college: TCU). SDuring the last season, she played at Tango Bourges Basket in French LFB where in 23 games she had 14.2ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.4apg, and 1.0spg. She helped them to win the Supercup and make it to the league final. The 2024-25 season was great for her as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-French League Third Team. Okonkwo also played 15 games in Euroleague where she recorded very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.5spg.
She represented Nigeria at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event, she scored an average of 11 ppg and had 4.8 rpg.
Okonkwo is a highly experienced player, having played in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). She has played professionally in France (Hainaut and Landerneau), Israel (Maccabi Haifa), Mexico (Halcones), Spain (Zamora and Leganes), and Turkey. In 2025, she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroLeague All-Imports Team.
Okonkwo graduated from Texas Christian University in 2019 and is in her seventh season as a professional player. She also played for the University of Southern California for one year.
