Aris Midea lands Alex Antetokounmpo

Alex Antetokounmpo

Aris Midea Thessaloniki (GBL) signed 23-year-old Nigerian forward Alex Antetokounmpo for the upcoming season. He last played for PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki in the Greek GBL league, averaging 0.9ppg and 1.0rpg in 18 games. He also helped them reach the Greek Cup Semifinals. In FIBA Europe Cup, he played 8 games with 2.0ppg and 1.4rpg. Antetokounmpo briefly played for KK Podgorica Bemax in the Montenegrin league.
He is a very experienced player. Antetokounmpo has played also in Lithuania (Mazeikiai), Montenegro, Spain (UCAM), NBA (Toronto Raptors), France (Est Lyonnais), NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga and Wisconsin Herd), NBA Summer League (Sacramento Kings) and AAU (Wisconsin Playground).
In 2022, his team reached the NBA G League Semifinals. In 2020, he was voted to the Associated Press Wisconsin All-State Honorable Mention.
