Zunder Palencia (Primera FEB) signed 29-year-old USA-Nigerian 201cm forward Stephen Ugochukwu (college: McNeese State) for the upcoming season. He was the top scorer at Odilo FC Cartagena CB last season, where in 34 Primera FEB games in Spain, he averaged 11.8ppg and 5.6rpg. He helped them reach the Spanish Primera FEB Cup Semifinals.
Ugochukwu is a very experienced player. He has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America). Ugochukwu has played professionally in Cyprus (Paralimni), Greece (Maroussi and GS Ermis Shimatariou), Mexico (Soles), Qatar (Al Ahli Sports Club Doha), Sweden (Sodertalje), NBA G League (Texas Legends and NAZ Suns), and Spain (Navarra and Cantabria).
Ugochukwu's team achieved success in the Greek Elite League Semifinals in 2024. He received the Eurobasket.com All-Cyprus League Honorable Mention in 2023.
It is worth mentioning that he also played at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him secure a job in professional basketball.
Ugochukwu graduated from McNeese State in 2018 and it'll be his 8th season in pro basketball.
