Simon Ugochukwu joins Orlandina

Orlandina Basket Capo d'Orlando (Serie B Nazionale) has agreed to terms with 23-year-old Nigerian-Italian international forward Simon Ugochukwu (200cm-80kg-2002) for the new 2025-26 season. He is the second foreign player on the roster, with Dutch Patrick Gatti having signed earlier. Ugochukwu has played for the last five seasons at Virtus Kleb Ragusa. In 38 Serie B Nazionale games last season, he averaged 8.6ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.9apg, and 1.1bpg. He was also called up to the Nigerian Senior National Team this year.
He has played previously for the Italian team Fortitudo Flat Service Bologna.
His team finished as the runner-up in the regular season in the Italian Serie B Interregionale Group South H in 2024.
