Onuaku re-signs at Bnei Hertzeliya- July 20, 2025
In 2016, he was drafted by the Houston Rockets (NBA) in the second round (37th overall). He attended the University of Louisville, and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball. Onuaku was also a member of the USA international program for some years. He played for the USA Senior National Team in 2019 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2015. Onuaku is a very experienced player. He has played in ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America). Onuaku has played professionally in Croatia (Zadar), Italy (Sassari), Korea (Skygunners and Wonju DB), Puerto Rico, Spain (Joventut), NBA (Portland Trail Blazers), NBA G League (RGV Vipers and Greensboro Swarm), NBA Summer League (Boston Celtics), and The Basketball Tournament (The Ville). In 2023, his team reached the Italian final. He won the Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Import Player of the Year in 2022.
