San Vendemiano sign Ivan Onojaife

Rucker San Vendemiano (Serie B Nazionale) has signed 21-year-old double-passport holder Nigerian 200cm center Ivan Onojaife, who is represented by Players Group for the new season. He is the second import player on the team, with Slovenian Jakob Cebasek signing earlier. Onojaife most recently played at Solbat Piombino, where he averaged 8.4ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.4apg, and 1.2bpg in 40 Serie B Nazionale games last season. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com Italian B Nazionale All-Defensive Team for his successful year. Prior to that, he played for Orasi Ravenna (Serie A2) for two seasons (2022-24).
He represented Italy at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Greece two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 1.9 ppg and had 3.1 rpg.
Onojaife has played for three other teams before: Livorno Libertas, Livorno DBosco, and RO SAzzurra.
He played in the final of Italian Serie B in 2021.
