Melvin Ejim joins Lleida

Hiopos Forca Lleida (Liga Endesa) agreed terms with experienced 34-year old Nigerian-Canadian ex-international forward Melvin Ejim (201cm-100kg-1991, college: Iowa State) for new 2025-26 season. He has played for the last three years at Unicaja in the Liga Endesa. In 32 games he had 5.1ppg and 2.1rpg last season. He helped them to win the Supercup and make to league semifinals. Ejim also played 10 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 7.4ppg and 3.1rpg. He contributed to his team winning the Basketball Champions League championship.
Ejim represented Nigeria at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event he scored an average of 10 points per game and had 5 rebounds per game.
He is quite an experienced player. Ejim has played professionally in Italy (RO Virtus and Umana Venezia), Montenegro (Buducnost), Russia (UNICS Kazan), Slovenia (Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana), the NBA (Orlando Magic), and the NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks).
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com Adriatic League All-Imports Team in 2021.
He graduated from Iowa State in 2014 and it'll be his 12th (!!!) season as a pro player.
