Cantu adds Ajayi to their roster

Acqua S.Bernardo Cantu (Serie A2) added 28-year old Nigerian-American ex-international forward Ife Josh Ajayi to their roster for the 2025-26 season. He played last season at Reale Mutua Basket Torino. In 39 Serie A2 games in Italy, he recorded impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 8.6rpg, and 1.4apg. Ajayi was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A2 Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week 5 times. In the 2023-24 season, he played at Skyliners (ProA) in the German league and for Balikesir Buyuksehir Belediyespor (TBL) in the Turkish league. Ajayi was a member of the Nigerian Senior National Team in 2021.
He has also played professionally in France (Nantes, Sluc Nancy, and Saint Chamond), Germany, and Turkey.
Ajayi won the French ProB championship title in 2022.
He graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2020 and it'll be his sixth season as a pro player.
