Monastir overcame Rivers Hoopers at the end of the Play-offs stage. The Tunisian powerhouse posted an 89-81 win as both teams head to the Quarterfinals.
Rivers Hoopers started better and nailed two narrow wins in the first half for a 36-32 halftime advantage. Monastir however replied with a 34-26 surge in the third quarter to take a lead and then closed the game with a final 23-19 rally.
Babacar Sane (202-F-2003, agency: Diamond Sports) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Patrick Hardy (191-G) netted 17. Raphiael Putney (207-F/C-1990, college: UMass) answered with 28 points in the losing effort.
