Galatasaray lands Temi Fagbenle

Temi Fagbenle

Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring Istanbul (KBSL) tabbed 32-year old British-Nigerian international 193cm center Temi Fagbenle (college: USC). She played most recently at Besiktas in the KBSL. In 21 games she averaged impressive 18.2ppg, 8.1rpg and 2.4apg last season. She also played 10 games in Eurocup where she had 12.5ppg, 9.8rpg, 3.1apg and 1.8spg.
In 2016 she was drafted by Minnesota Lynx (WNBA) in third round (35th overall).
The former University of Southern California standout is in her tenth season in pro basketball.
Fagbenle has been also a member of the British international program for some years. She has regularly played for the British senior team since 2012 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2011.
Fagbenle also represented United Kingdom at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) in Serbia and Latvia six years ago. Fagbenle's was the best scorer at the tournament with almost 21 points per game, while she helped her team to make it to the Semifinals.
She is a very experienced player. Fagbenle has played also professionally in Italy (Venezia), Poland (Polkowice), Spain (Avenida), United Kingdom (Lions), WNBA (Indiana Fever), Czech Republic (USK Praha) and Turkey (Botas and Mersin).
Among many awards she won Czech Republic D1 championship title in 2023. She received Eurobasket.com All-British WBBL Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-British WBBL Domestic Player of the Year award in 2024. Fagbenle played also for Harvard University for 4 years.
