Newly promoted Mersin Buyuksehir Belediyesi Spor Mersin (BSL) inked 29-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) 188cm shooting guard David Efianayi (college: Gardner-Webb). Efianayi played recently at Galatasaray in the BSL, but left the team in Jan.'25. In 8 games he averaged 3.1ppg this season. He also played 4 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 4.5ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.3apg.
Efianayi is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Denmark (Horsens IC and Bakken), France (Denain Voltaire), Israel (Hapoel Beer Sheva) and The Basketball Tournament (Team Overtime).
Efianayi won Balkan League championship title in 2023.
He graduated from Gardner-Webb University in 2019 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball.
