Gaziantep signs O.D. Anosike

O.D. Anosike

Gaziantep Basketbol (TBL) signed 33-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) power forward O.D. Anosike (203cm-109kg-1991, college: Siena). Anosike played this summer at Metros in LNB league in Dominican Republic. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. In four LNB games just recently he had 5.5ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.3apg. Anosike ended 23-24 season at Mahram in Iranian Superleague where in 11 games he recorded 12.9ppg, 11.5rpg, 3.1apg and 1.4spg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. But the most of that year he spent at Ankaragucu in Turkish TBL. In 15 games he averaged 11.9ppg, 13.8rpg, 2.8apg and 1.3spg. 2023-24 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Second Team.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
Anosike is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Anosike has played previously professionally in France (Cholet Basket, SIG Strasbourg and Le Portel), Greece (AEK Betsson and Lavrio), Italy (Openjobmetis Varese), Mexico (Fuerza Regia), Spain (Real Betis), South Korea (Egis), Libya (Ahly Benghazi), Turkey (Manisa) and The Basketball Tournament (Saints Alive). He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A Honorable Mention back in 2015 and 2017.
Anosike graduated from Siena College in 2013 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
